YOUR DESTINATION GUIDE

Before you send to Anguilla.

Prepare your parcel to Anguilla with the complete receiver address, postal code where used, phone number, packed weight and an itemised contents list. Ask our office to check current service availability and the requirements for your exact shipment.

Contents we can assess for your parcel

These are starting points for an enquiry. The exact product, destination and chosen carrier determine acceptance.

Common parcel contents and checks
Parcel contentsBefore you bookWhat to prepare
Letters, certificates and printed papersUsually suitableUse a protective document envelope; tell us if originals, identity documents or items of value are enclosed.
Clean clothes and household textilesUsually suitablePack dry, protect against moisture and list the type, quantity and genuine value.
Books, stationery and ordinary giftsUsually suitableDescribe each product. Tell us about wood, leather, batteries, liquids or fragile components.
Food, sweets, spices and desi gheeCheck before packingShare the ingredients, labels, country of manufacture, quantity and destination. Dairy and animal ingredients can change acceptance.
Medicines, supplements and herbal productsPrior confirmationGive the exact product, active ingredient, strength and quantity. Prescription and recipient requirements vary by country.
Electronics, cosmetics, liquids and batteriesPrior confirmationIdentify batteries, flammable liquids and aerosols. These may need a specialist service or may be refused.

Prohibited items and products needing approval

Illegal goods and undeclared dangerous goods must not be included. Food, animal products, plants, medicines, liquids, batteries, precious items and regulated goods need additional screening. This general preparation advice is not a country-specific permission to import.

DO NOT INCLUDE

Items unsuitable for an ordinary parcel

  • Illegal narcotics, unlawful goods, counterfeit goods and goods prohibited by the destination country.
  • Explosives, fireworks, ammunition and weapons: do not include these in an ordinary courier parcel.
  • Fuel, lighter refills, gas cylinders, solvents, corrosive chemicals, poisons and other undeclared dangerous goods.
  • Protected wildlife, endangered plant or animal products, or restricted cultural goods without the required lawful permissions.
  • Unidentified powders, unlabelled medicines or any item hidden under an inaccurate customs description.
CHECK FIRST

Items needing prior confirmation

  • Food and agricultural goods: meat, dairy, ghee, honey, seeds, plants, fresh produce and homemade mixtures require destination-specific checks.
  • Medicines and supplements: an Indian prescription or purchase bill does not by itself establish permission to import into another country.
  • Batteries, power banks, devices, aerosols, perfumes and nail products: declare the product type and obtain a carrier decision before packing.
  • Cash, precious metals, jewellery, high-value items, fragile articles and temperature-sensitive products: discuss the correct service and any exclusions in advance.
  • Wood, leather, shells, soil-contaminated footwear and used outdoor equipment can need biosecurity or protected-species checks.

This is a practical screening list, not an exhaustive legal list. Destination law and the selected service may impose further restrictions. Please have the complete contents checked before dispatch.

Food, sweets & desi ghee

Share the exact food name, ingredients, quantity, origin and packaging. Ask for the destination’s current food, plant and animal-product rules to be checked. Homemade foods, meat, dairy, desi ghee, honey and seeds must not be assumed admissible because they are a gift or are sealed.

Medicines & supplements

Provide the medicine’s exact name, active ingredient, strength and quantity for a destination and carrier check. Prescription, recipient, permit and quantity requirements may apply. Keep medicines in identifiable packaging, and do not pack them until the actual shipment is approved.

Customs clearance & destination charges

Prepare clear item descriptions, quantities, genuine values, origin where requested and the purpose of the shipment. The receiver may need to provide identification or importer information and pay applicable duty, taxes or handling. Ask which charges are included in your quotation.

Address, postcode & delivery area

Use the complete delivery address supplied by the receiver, including the building or unit, locality and postcode where used. Tell us about a rural, remote, island, business or other special delivery location before the quote is confirmed.

KYC, weight and documents before dispatch

Prepare the sender’s paperwork

Keep recognised identity and address proof ready for the office or verified carrier process. Prepare an item list with quantities and genuine values, the sender and receiver contacts, and an invoice or additional permits where required. Business shipments may need business and export details.

Read the KYC and document guide

Measure the final packed box

Give the actual weight and outer length, width and height of every box. Carriers compare actual and volumetric weight; the applicable divisor, rounding, box limits and service determine the chargeable weight. Secure, compact packing avoids paying for unnecessary space.

Understand volumetric weight

Confirm the service and charges

Before handing over the parcel, confirm item acceptance, pickup or drop-off, the estimated delivery window, and who pays any destination charges. Customs, missing paperwork, local holidays and remote delivery can extend an estimate.

Understand delivery and charges

Requirements must be confirmed for the exact item, receiving country and selected service when booking.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions
before you send.

Read our packing guide
What do you need to give me a quote?

Share the destination country, parcel weight, destination postcode and a clear list of contents. Box dimensions can help us assess chargeable weight.

Can I send food or medicine?

Please tell us the exact items before packing. Acceptance and documents depend on the destination and chosen service. A quote request does not confirm that an item is accepted.

Are all charges included?

Our team will explain what the final quotation includes: shipping, GST, remote-area or other service charges. Destination customs duty, tax or handling must be confirmed separately for the chosen service.

How long will delivery take?

We confirm the service-specific estimate with your quote. Customs checks, remote areas, airline schedules and local holidays can affect delivery.

Can I arrange a pickup?

Share your pickup city and preferred details. Our team will confirm availability, timing and any pickup charge before collection.

01

What can I send?

Documents, clean clothing, books and non-hazardous gifts are common parcel enquiries. Tell us exactly what is inside, including hidden batteries, liquids or food ingredients. Acceptance is confirmed for the destination and selected service before booking.

More preparation advice

A mixed parcel is checked item by item. One restricted product can affect the entire box, so include every item in your list and keep product labels or invoices ready.

Read the guide
02

Prohibited & restricted items

Never hide illegal goods, counterfeit products or undeclared hazardous materials in a parcel. Fireworks, fuel, gas cylinders, corrosive chemicals and similar dangerous goods do not belong in an ordinary personal parcel.

More preparation advice

Medicines, food, seeds, wooden articles, batteries, perfumes and valuables need separate checks. A restricted item may need permits or specialist handling; it is not automatically accepted because another item in the box is allowed.

Read the guide
03

Actual & volumetric weight

Shipping weight considers both the scale weight and the space occupied by the packed box. Measure its outer length, width and height in centimetres and send us all three measurements with the actual weight.

More preparation advice

Volumetric weight = length × width × height ÷ the service’s divisor. For an illustrative divisor of 5,000, a 50 × 40 × 30 cm box gives 12 kg. Carrier measurement, rounding and the chosen service determine the final chargeable weight.

04

Customs clearance & charges

Give a clear item description, quantity, genuine value and reason for sending. Customs can inspect the parcel or request documents. A gift or personal parcel is still subject to destination import rules.

More preparation advice

Ask which freight, tax, duty, remote-area and clearance charges your quote includes, and who pays any destination charges. Never use a false description or a deliberately reduced value to avoid customs checks.

Read the guide
05

KYC & shipment documents

Keep the sender’s recognised identity and address proof ready. Names and addresses should match the shipment paperwork. Business consignments and regulated items can require additional documents.

More preparation advice

Complete verification through the office or the verified carrier process after the service is confirmed. Do not paste identity numbers, prescriptions, passwords or payment details into the public quote form.

06

Packing & delivery preparation

Use a sound carton, protect items from movement and remove old labels. Keep food in suitable sealed packaging only after acceptance is confirmed. Add the receiver’s full address, postcode and reachable phone number.

More preparation advice

Keep an item list and photos of the packed contents. Confirm pickup availability, the expected delivery window and any remote-area requirement before handing over the parcel.
