KYC means Know Your Customer. Prepare identity, address and shipment information early so the booking and clearance documents can be completed accurately.
What the sender should keep ready
India courier shipments require recognised identity and address documents through the applicable carrier’s KYC process. Our office will explain which documents and verification route apply to your booking.
Sender’s full name, current address and reachable phone number.
Recognised government identity and address proof accepted by the selected carrier. A passport, Aadhaar or another accepted document may be relevant; do not assume every example or every document is required.
Receiver’s full name, complete delivery address, postcode and local phone number.
An itemised packing list with quantities and genuine values; purchase evidence where requested.
Purpose of shipment: personal gift, personal belongings, documents, a sale, a sample or a return.
Business and regulated shipments
For business goods, keep the business name, billing details, commercial invoice and product descriptions ready. IEC, GST, authorisation or other export documents may be requested according to the shipment and applicable process; confirm the exact checklist with our office.
For a medicine enquiry, start with the product name, strength and quantity. A prescription, purchase bill, patient details or destination prescriber’s authorisation may be needed later if that service and import are permitted. Food and plant products may have separate requirements.
Names and addresses must match
A spelling difference, an old address or a document issued in a different person’s name can cause questions. Tell the office about a mismatch before handover. Clear, readable copies are more useful than cropped images with missing corners or hidden document details.
Do not alter a document or use another person’s identification to make a booking. Ask which supporting evidence is accepted when your current address differs from the identity document.
Where to complete verification
The public quote form is for an initial enquiry, so it does not request identity-document uploads. After the shipment is accepted, complete verification with our office or through the verified carrier process provided for that booking.
Do not post Aadhaar/PAN numbers, prescriptions, account passwords, OTPs or card details in a blog comment or quote-form note. If you receive an unfamiliar KYC link, verify it with our office before sending personal documents.
Before handing over the parcel
Confirm which documents are still outstanding.
Check that the sender name on the booking matches the accepted KYC record.
Keep the item list and invoices consistent with the packed contents.
Retain the booking receipt and reference so later questions can be matched to the shipment.
Official references reviewed 18 September 2026. Check the applicable requirements again when booking.
KNOW BEFORE YOU SEND
Your parcel preparation checklist.
Clear information for every shipment, from the contents of your box to the paperwork at customs.
Documents, clean clothing, books and non-hazardous gifts are common parcel enquiries. Tell us exactly what is inside, including hidden batteries, liquids or food ingredients. Acceptance is confirmed for the destination and selected service before booking.
More preparation advice
A mixed parcel is checked item by item. One restricted product can affect the entire box, so include every item in your list and keep product labels or invoices ready.
Never hide illegal goods, counterfeit products or undeclared hazardous materials in a parcel. Fireworks, fuel, gas cylinders, corrosive chemicals and similar dangerous goods do not belong in an ordinary personal parcel.
More preparation advice
Medicines, food, seeds, wooden articles, batteries, perfumes and valuables need separate checks. A restricted item may need permits or specialist handling; it is not automatically accepted because another item in the box is allowed.
Shipping weight considers both the scale weight and the space occupied by the packed box. Measure its outer length, width and height in centimetres and send us all three measurements with the actual weight.
More preparation advice
Volumetric weight = length × width × height ÷ the service’s divisor. For an illustrative divisor of 5,000, a 50 × 40 × 30 cm box gives 12 kg. Carrier measurement, rounding and the chosen service determine the final chargeable weight.
Give a clear item description, quantity, genuine value and reason for sending. Customs can inspect the parcel or request documents. A gift or personal parcel is still subject to destination import rules.
More preparation advice
Ask which freight, tax, duty, remote-area and clearance charges your quote includes, and who pays any destination charges. Never use a false description or a deliberately reduced value to avoid customs checks.
Keep the sender’s recognised identity and address proof ready. Names and addresses should match the shipment paperwork. Business consignments and regulated items can require additional documents.
More preparation advice
Complete verification through the office or the verified carrier process after the service is confirmed. Do not paste identity numbers, prescriptions, passwords or payment details into the public quote form.
Use a sound carton, protect items from movement and remove old labels. Keep food in suitable sealed packaging only after acceptance is confirmed. Add the receiver’s full address, postcode and reachable phone number.
More preparation advice
Keep an item list and photos of the packed contents. Confirm pickup availability, the expected delivery window and any remote-area requirement before handing over the parcel.
